The European Commissions (EC) already provides facilities for bridging the gaps between scientists, citizens and policy-makers. One of these tools is the Digital4Science platform that has been developed by DG Connect [1].

Digital4Science cannot only be used for classical public consultation, but also as a discussion forum on particular aspects. We started using Digital4Sciencein this respect. An initial attempt was taking in conjunction with the Mozilla Festival (MozFest 2015) in order to discuss the potentials, expectations and way ahead for supporting European Citizen Science via the web [2].

New discussions will be announces as news items on the Citizen Science Platform.
